As you may know we have lost the shop on Riverside in the centre of Port Talbot. It was a shop that served us well for the last two years and we will miss the place, the people and the customers. We have had some good times and highlights have included the Banksy Seasonal greetings launch, the landed launch, the photo shoots, the laughs, the evolution the numerous designs and the diversifying of the products have all happened on the Riverside - we would like to Big Up Underdog Tattoos for all the support and cups of tea, Sky Thai for all the Curry and Rad Na (Kappoun Kap), The Old Vic (Reubens) for all the cold Beer, the Post Office for all the Parcels they have shipped and Hanson Dry Cleaners for being so Tidy and for on going business.
San Portablo 1901 wish Gemma and all her Flawless Staff all the best for their future on the Riverside - we hope the area is as positive for Flawless as it has been for us.
So a new chapter for San Portablo 1901 is on the horizon and we are in final negotiations with the Aberafan Shopping Centre about a Unit in the West Mall.
We are delighted with the prospect of moving into the Shopping Centre and once again bringing an Independent clothes label into Town. The Unit comes with room for a studio so we will look to start working with photographers and models as soon as we get the keys.
Furthermore we have now got a concession in Hanson & The Clothes People in Windsor Road, Neath. This is the first shop out of town to add the label and we have done a collaboration design 'Castell Nedd' which parallels the San Portablo 2020 Design on the front and Back. The 'Castell Nedd' design will be available in the Hanson's Shop and online the colour and print options with be Black with White Print and White with Black Print and will be uploaded on to this website later this week. Depending on how this design moves other colour ways should become available but the first edition of every design in always a bit special.
We believe that Castell Nedd and Hansons will be a success and that the label will be able to collaborate with other Independent stores to bring 1901 to fresh towns and cities. if you know of other stores where we could bring designs please let us know.
